Côte d’Ivoire: Danse Fé to support widows and orphans

The association of Danse Fé is organizing the 2nd edition of its international dance festival for women, from July 31st to August 6th. Rwanda, Mali and Côte d’Ivoire are at the rendezvous of this festival whose theme is: The widow and the orphan.

Speaking at a press conference in Cocody, Abidjan, the festival organizers said Danse Fé is an organization of women engaged in the defense of the cause of women who use dance as a means of communication and a platform for exchange and collaboration. Its true vocation is its participation in the development of urban culture through dance.

For this edition, Danse Fé will bring together national and international dance groups to share their experiences through free dance workshops, masterclasses and a ‘Battle’. In addition, there will be a village of Fé’Stival which will be created in the gardens of Aboboté and donations of food and clothes to widows and orphans.

The women’s dance association (dance Fé), was born in 2010 and its president, Miss Aïda Camara, aspires to the development of women’s leadership and gender entrepreneurship. It has already been very successful in the capitals of Cameroon, Senegal and Gabon.
