Kayode Bodurin, a correspondent with the Nigerian Tribune Newspapers has said that so far over 70 Chibok girls have been released or escaped from their captors.
He said people are talking about the release of the 21 Chibok girls as if it is the first, he said over 70 Chibok girls have been released and some had earlier escaped and have been rehabilitated in some States within Nigeria and some taken to the United States
He also said that as a result of the massive pounding of the Sambisa by the Nigerian Air force, several women and children are being released weekly between the headquarters of Bama town and the boundary areas around Kumshi and Banki, in Borno State of Nigeria.
Since the Air force started pounding the Sambisa forest, hope has risen for the women and children abducted by the insurgents when they marched through lassa, Uba, and broke down the bridge at Mitchika before proceeding to Gwoza, Pulka and finally marching through Bama where hundreds were thrown down a deep well in the federal prison yard, killing all the prison staff.
