  Saran Séré Sérémé, chairman of the Party for Development and Change (PDC) was appointed Mediator of the Faso, Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

Candidate in the presidential election of November 2015, Saran Séré Sérémé, affectionately called “the Amazon of the Sourou”, actively participated in October 2014, to the movements leading to the fall of the regime of President Blaise Compaore.

Long before, Ms. Séré was a member of the Congress for Democracy and Progress (CDP), a party of President Blaise Compaoré until 2012, when she resigned and created her her own Party for Development and Change (PDC).

A few days before the fall of Blaise Compaore, Saran Séré Sérémé gathered hundreds of women in Ouagadougou armed with spatulas to protest the constitutional reform wanted by the former president.

Saran Séré Sérémé replaces Alima Déborah Traoré, Mediator of Faso since June 22, 2011.
